Zoës Kitchen is a brightly lit offering in SOHO and promotes a Mediterranean diet through its menu. The selection is broad and includes a great starter hummus trio (the pesto hummus is king!). They serve a wide variety of soups, salads, pitas, and bowls, all with fresh looking ingredients. The bowls offer a nicely blended combination of flavors, some in non- traditional ways. On my first visit went they had not perfected the menu, with some items unavailable. On the second try they appeared locked in. The service was fast and the food was good, but nothing really beyond typical Mediterranean eats. There's a trend in SOHO of fresh-ingredient-vegetarian-leaning eateries including Fresh Kitchen , SoFresh, and Noodle Kitchen , So if restaurants are offering similar menus, they better bring it!
