Mom's Place, because you're family

  3 1/2 Snaps!  Better than average! Give it a shot
From the outside it looks like a typical diner and inside has an 80s decor accented by autographed sports photographs and a pop 70s radio station playing in the background. You'd never know that their primary menu is Greek and every day has a different special. For example, Mondays is spinach pie (Spanakopita) day, on alternate Tuesdays  stuffed cabbage is served and every other week it's stuffed peppers. Fridays bring a lamb shank special (but they were out of it by the time I got there). Weekends it's all about the breakfast, with an abundant morning menu.
I ordered the Bacon and 2 Egg Breakfast ($6.25). It was okay. The sunny side eggs are perfectly cooked (a deal maker/breaker in my book), but the bacon is thin and chewy. The accompanying hash brown potatoes are undercooked and whole wheat toast is a store-bought brand. An order for Diet Coke brought an unqualified Diet Pepsi.
Servers are numerous and chipper.
Mom's is a family restaurant owned by the same crew for over 30 years. Regulars are greeted like, well, family. Breakfast is served all day (except waffle service stops in the morning). They are open until 3:00 pm every day, and it's cash only (with an ATM that costs $2.50 to use on site). But with a breakfast tab of a little over $8, Mom's is going on the Frugal Dining  list for sure.
