-3 Snaps! Try it. You might like it.
Fresh Kitchen was an early adoptor of build-your-own meal in Tampa. Start by picking a base, then build on a veggie, protein, etc. I had the base of Cauliflower Potato mash, added Parmesan Broccoli, then Grilled Citrus Chicken, with Herb Balsamic Vinaigrette (lunch size $6.45) The dish, served in plastic clam shell, is not much to look at....so on to tasting. The chicken was smoky and moist and is a decent serving size for the price. Combined with my selection of balsamic vinaigrette, its a great bite. The broccoli looks over-cooked, and some pieces are chewy and dry. But the flavor, esp from the oil and cheese is delicious. The cauli mash is just so so. It needs something. Its not potatoes and its not cauliflower, and is bland.
Crowds can be hit-or-miss but there is typically a wait around lunch and dinner times.
Parking is constantly a problem as there are only 9 marked spaces around the building and all of the surrounding businesses have threatening no parking signs. Service is relatively fast since it is cafeteria-style counter. 4 Snaps for the food, 2 Snaps for the parking/crowd hassles.
