I'm pretty sure, at least for the foodies that I know, a positive review for Farmtable Cucina is a no-brainer. It is a known quantity to the local food world and was established by culinary rock stars Michael Mina and Don Pintabona in 2014. The overall consistent quality and variety of Locale Market, home to Farmtable Cucina in downtown St. Petersburg, is pretty much unmatched in these parts. I have reviewed some of the other stations in the market like the Poke bowl and the Hamburger counters, as well as their seafood low country boil last year. They are all consistently well done.

Always looking for something new, Cheezy's in Ybor sounded like an adventure. It's not only an Italian bistro, it also claims to be a speakeasy. That part was intriguing.
Challenges start with reservations. They do not answer the phone but voicemail directs us to an online reservation form that we fill out with the anticipation that they will get back to us. They never do. We go anyway and the place- at 7:30- is empty but for one other party and a couple at the bar.

Okay pay attention, I don't say this often and am hesitating now because I don't want Piccola to become too popular. So let's just keep this between us. If you are looking for traditional white linen tablecloth Italian restaurant this isn't it! If you like authentic Italian food with great service and great prices, read on. Piccola is a small place in a strip center next to a Tarot Card reading shop. There are only seven tables served by a very small, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Being so unassuming is part of it's charm. Most nights reservations are necessary, and they offer 2 seating's.
With the onslaught of new restaurants in the bay area I try not to forget the legacy favorites
like Armani's. While it is a high dollar place, Armani’s has consistently served excellent gourmet meals. One constant there is the antipasto bar. I don’t know of any other restaurants that still have one. Many have transitioned to charcuterie platters just a new iteration of this classic form of appetizer.
