Got a hankering for some BBQ? 4 Rivers Smokehouse would be a good place to go. I was in the mood for a lighter lunch and had the Tri-Tip Wedge Salad ($8.99)- 4 slices of Tri-Tip beef with a wedge of Iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, scallions, bacon bits, with Ranch dressing and a Bleu Cheese crumble. It was the just right combination of beef and vegetables and a good balance of flavors for a lunch time meal.
I've also had the Six Shooter- 4 Rivers Cheese grits topped with pulled pork, slaw, pickles, jalapenos and 4R sauce-. It's a mess, but it's delicious! The slaw and pork make a great flavor foundation with the jalapenos adding the right amount of kick to perfect the sandwich.
Mealtime crowds can be thick. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch and got through the line fairly quickly. Had I been much later, I would have easily waited for 20 minutes to order. Cafeteria style service with friendly staff.
